How do I hold my session date?
Easily! All that is needed to hold a date for your session is a deposit/retainer fee of $100 and a signed agreement listing the details of your session. This non-refundable retainer fee goes toward your session total.
What do I expect for a portrait session?
Sessions guided to be fun and stress free! All session will receive my Prep Guide to help guide them through a stress free process. Portrait sessions receive access to my Outfit Style Guide, as well as personalized styling consultations with my Signature & Standard sessions.
Black and white background portraits only require a barn aisle or covered space. Help is extremely encouraged to assist with any needs along the way as an extra set of hands always helps!
Can you edit this out?
You bet! Sessions are edited for your horse to look their best, which includes: removing blemishes, marks, & scars. Don’t worry I also handle pimples and pesky clothing edits for humans as well.
I have also added a Re-Touch option for show photos which you can now select in the store!
How long after my session will I receive my images?
Images are revealed on a personalized gallery link sent to you directly 1-3 weeks after your session. During your reveal I will walk you through your printing and sizing options!
Travel fees?
I am a photographer based in Dupo, Illinois, but I do travel for sessions & shows. If over 35 miles but under 1.25 hour a travel fee of $50 is added. Any additional fees for driving time longer than 1.5 hours, will be agreed upon.
Can I post on social media?
I highly encourage you share images with your friends after purchasing! If you’d like to credit, tag J. Sweet Photography on Facebook or @jsweet_photography on Instagram.
What is Personal use vs High Resolution vs Commercial use?
Personal use means non-commercial use of the images for display on personal websites (non-business), social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.), or advertising of a personal horse.
My High resolution images are offered for sale through the online store which are a high resolution image plus a print release. The Print Release allows for printing of the image through another company or at home.
Commercial use means that helps sell things. These are images used in Ads or publications, for a business website that promote products or services. Ask about commercial use cost for a photo here. Investments start at $125+

How can I schedule coverage at an event?
Event coverage is scheduled based on availability. I do suggest booking dates early.
What is a Print Credit?
Print credits are a money amount towards your prints through my online store and lab. These are included as a bonus to you with specific sessions to help you with your wall art or cards. This gift is included at no extra charge to help with the expenses of printing your images on Canvas, Large Prints, Framed, Standouts, & Specialty Prints.
Do horse show galleries expire?
All galleries with expire December 31st of every year, but can be re-uploaded for a $10 fee.
